Keith E. Carter, LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) has 10+ years of experience in the health & helping field. He has participated professionally in the fields of performing arts/ creative art therapy, child welfare, academic clinical research, HIV prevention, school social work, homeless services, LGBT services and inpatient/ outpatient psychiatry. He earned his Master of Science degree from Columbia University School of Social Work, and his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/ Speech & Theater from Wagner College of Staten Island. He is actively involved in program development and mentoring within his community. Keith has been a practicing psychotherapist since 2007 and has been trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches: client-centered psychodynamic, psychoanalytic, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral restructuring, play therapy, family therapy and couples therapy. He has experience working with children, adolescents and adults. He currently runs a psychotherapeutic private practice and is the founding director for The Creative Solutions Connection, INC. Keith is also currently a mental health clinician with New York Department of Health. He has been honored to work with several top servicing agencies in the New York metropolitan area, including The Administration for Children Services, Social Intervention Group of Columbia University, National Development and Research Institute, INC, The Child Center of New York, Jewish Child Care Association, Bellevue Hospital Center, The Interborough Development & Consultation Center, INC, Lutheran Healthcare, The Ali Forney Center, New York Department of Education and HCZ Promise Academy. Keith is currently in pursuit of his doctoral degree of social work.

Our professionals are fully screened and reference checked by professionals they have worked with during their careers. Federal and state guidelines and regulations of the Department of Health and OMH are strictly followed. Other personnel screening includes verifications of license and continuing education, as well as yearly physical and appropriate health screenings. Specific staff members carry malpractice insurance in addition to the facility malpractice/liability provided to all clients by CPH & Associates.
